Former Celtic striker Giorgos Giakoumakis' goal-ridden introduction to Major League Soccer has landed him Atlanta United's Player of the Month award for the month of April.
The Greek international, who sealed his move to the American outfit in February, has been in scintillating form since his arrival in Georgia, netting five times so far for the MLS club (four in April).
The 28-year-old has recently been sidelined with a hamstring injury, which ruled him out of games against Memphis 901 FC and Nashville SC, both ending in defeats for Giakoumakis' depleted side.

The former VVV-Venlo hitman was a fan-favourite at the Glasgow side, scoring 26 goals in 57 appearances, with his goals ensuring Celtic wrestled the title back off of champions Rangers at the first time of asking last season.
In particular, late goals against St. Johnstone and Dundee endeared him to the Hoops faithful, which proved vital in the title race domestically. His header against Dundee United at Tannadice last May was the decisive goal in securing the league title, as the 1-1 draw was enough to officially confirm Celtic as champions once again.
The striker also ended up as the joint SPFL Premiership top scorer, sharing the award with Ross County's Regan Charles-Cook thanks to his 13 goals in the league.
His replacement at the Glasgow side, South Korean striker Oh Hyeon-gyu, has made a similar impact at Celtic, scoring three goals so far for his new employers, albeit with more appearances since joining his new club.
Meanwhile, the extent of Cameron Carter-Vickers' injury has reportedly been revealed.
The Celtic centre-back's season is now over following Sunday's victory over Rangers in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.
Ange Postecoglou confirmed that the American international will play no further part for the Scottish champions as they bid to win yet another treble in the last month of the campaign.
The defender is set to go under the knife to fix an injury issue that has been bothering the 25-year-old.
Now, according to SBI Soccer, Carter-Vickers could be out for three or four months as he recovers from surgery.
If accurate, it means that Celtic's best defender would be missing for the 2023/24 season opener - which takes place on August 4.
