Weekend goal hero Giorgos Giakoumakis is out of Celtic's squad for their clash with St Mirren which casts fresh doubt on his Parkhead career.
The 28-year-old is wanted by Urawa Red Diamonds, Atlanta United and Sampdoria but Ange Postecoglou insisted on Tuesday no bid had been accepted for last season's Scottish Premiership top scorer. Record Sport revealed in November Giakoumakis' future was uncertain after talks over a new contract proved unsuccessful.
And now the Celtic boss is set to field fresh questions on the man who struck against Kilmarnock to seal his side's progress to the Viaplay Cup Final on Saturday night at Hampden. Giakoumakis has been a prolific Celtic goalscorer with 25 goals in 56 appearances but has found himself second choice to Kyogo for much of the season Giakoumakis joined Celtic from VVV Venlo in a £2.5million deal in August 2021 and has gone to become a favourite among the support and played a vital en route to title glory in his first season at the helm.
