Giorgos Giakoumakis was left out of Celtic's match day squad to face St Mirren as transfer links continue to swirl around the striker.
The Greek forward looks set to leave Glasgow this month according to reports despite Ange Postecoglou claiming he had no knowledge of any offers for the 28-year-old or other Parkhead stars. Giakoumakis netted a crucial goal in the Viaplay Cup semi-final against Kilmarnock and followed up with a cryptic social media post in the aftermath.
Yet the hitman's been linked with a move to MLS outfit Atalanta United, alongside an ambitious swoop from J-League side Uwara Red Diamonds and the forward was nowhere to be seen for the clash with Stephen Robinson's men as Postecoglou explained his absence.

He told BBC Sportsound: "The game took a fair bit out of us at the weekend. Cameron [Carter-Vickers] and Giakoumakis weren't available tonight both pulled up a bit sore. I wanted to freshen things up.
"Neither are serious we expect them at the weekend or the following weekend against Dundee United. He's [Giakoumakis] not playing tonight because he was injured. If he wasn't injured, he would be playing."
