Gio van Bronckhorst swerves Rangers red card blame game as he reacts to Juhani Ojala cruncher

Rangers boss Gio van Bronckhorst refused to be drawn on two big calls from referee Nick Walsh in his side's win at Motherwell.

The 10-man visitors would come through despite Leon Balogun seeing red in the first half for a heavy challenge on Motherwell 's Dean Cornelius.

Juhani Ojala avoided a sending off for a similar challenge on Scott Wright minutes later, but the Dutchman refused to point the finer at whistler Walsh.

When asked to compare the incidents on Sky Sports, he said: "Obviously there were two tackles.

"Both go with the intention to go for the ball. The margins are really close in those tackles. We just have to accept the red card that we had and we can't do anything about it.

"We just have to accept the decision of the ref and go on. I concentrated more on how we played and eventually it got us the win."

Despite leading early on through Liam Kelly's own goal, Motherwell fought back to level through Ross Tierney before the half-time whistle.

Wright's goal and James Tavernier's penalty would ensure a comfortable three points would be taken back to Ibrox.

The Rangers boss stated: "We had to adjust the game plan, of course.

"We started off really well, we were 1-0 up. We had to switch to a different way of playing. I think we did it really well in the second half. We had the second half to change things a little bit when we have the ball, and also defensively. I think it worked out well.

"You have to make sure you create the chances when you have one man less. I think the players did really well. We also with 10 men created plenty of chances to score."
