Giovanni van Bronckhorst offered no excuses for his Rangers stars as they escaped Pittodrie with a point.
The Premiership champions dropped points for the first time under the Dutchman as Lewis Ferguson's penalty cancelled out a first-half Ianis Hagi opener.
Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass was puzzled by ref Kevin Clancy - who sent off Ryan Kent in the closing minutes - and his failure to both award the hosts a penalty when Allan McGregor collided with Ryan Hedges, and to order a retake of Ferguson's penalty when the ball was clearly moved by the wind a split second before the midfielder struck it.
Van Bronckhorst suggested that with VAR the outcome of both incidents may have been different, but insisted the league leaders must accept the officials' decisions.
He told Sky Sports: "Yeah, I saw it (the ball moving). You know, if you don't have VAR, the decision made by the referee is the decision that counts.
"If you have VAR and can get every angle, with the case with the long ball and Allan in the first-half, maybe it's different - I don't know.
"With the penalty, it's windy here and we saw the ball moving, maybe with VAR it would be taken over, but it's the way it is.
"We have to accept the decisions by the referee and move on."
Van Bronckhorst also took a pragmatic view of Kent's red card, despite some pundits declaring it harsh.
The winger was booked for two seemingly innocuous fouls, but his manager refused to criticise man in the middle Clancy.
He added: "It's a physical game with a lot of tackles and a lot of duels, so you know there's going to be yellow cards on both sides.
"It's a decision by the ref. He (Kent) got booked just a little bit before so every chance you make a foul, the fans were going to scream, it's normal in a place like this.
"With 10 men, we did well and worked hard to get the point."
