Giovanni van Bronckhorst was bursting with pride after his players produced a remarkable 4-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in their own backyard.
The astonishing win puts them in pole position to reach the last 16 ahead of next week’s return at Ibrox.
But Van Bronckhorst has warned the job is only half done with superstar striker Erling Haaland in contention to return next week.
James Tavernier’s penalty got them up and running before a John Lundstram stunner put them 3-0 up.
And then a Dan Axel-Zagadou own-goal sandwiched between two Dortmund strikes sealed a fantastic 4-2 win.
And Van Bronckhorst said: “It’s a very good result for us against a quality team, a big team in Europe.
“We wanted to take a result back with us to Glasgow to get a good game next week.
“I think we achieved that with the two goal difference we take back and I’m really proud of the performance the players have shown.
“We also know we’re only halfway and there’s still one goal to be played but to come here and score four goals away in Europe is a very good achievement so I’m more than happy with the result, and especially the performance.”
