The New York Giants (9-6-1) will visit the Philadelphia Eagles (13-3) at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this Sunday afternoon.
That, of course, provides those of us here at Giants Wire the opportunity to hypothetically steal from the Eagles’ roster in search of depth and/or talent upgrades for Big Blue for the second time this year.
Back in Week 14, we stole center Jason Kelce. Because of that, he’s not entered into the equation this time around.
In looking at the Eagles’ roster, the options remain plentiful. They have an extremely deep and talented personnel group and have quality options at just about every position.
On defense, linebacker T.J. Edwards and cornerbacks James Bradberry and Darius Slay are all very tempting thefts. Offensively, wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, and guard Isaac Seumalo are possibilities. Each and every one of those players would immediately improve the Giants’ roster.
Ultimately, we’re going with the 6-foot-1, 226-pound Brown and it’s easy to understand why.
Although the Giants’ receivers have taken a step forward in recent weeks, they’re still lacking that true No. 1 who is capable of taking over a game. Brown would provide them with exactly that.
In 16 games this season, Brown has hauled in 84 receptions for 1,401 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also averages 16.7 yards per reception, which is fourth-best in the league. And his 87.9 PFF grade is sixth among all receivers.
What are your thoughts, Giants fans? Would you pick A.J. Brown or would you steal an entirely different player from the Philadelphia Eagles?
