Gillian Anderson is scheduled to headline the Southbank Centre season of literature and spoken word in London this autumn. The acclaimed actor from 'Sex Education' will lead a panel discussion centered around her latest book 'Want,' which delves into the topic of female sexual desire. Anderson will be accompanied by special guests for the panel discussion.
Other notable figures set to make appearances during the literary season at Southbank include comedian and filmmaker Richard Ayoade, who will explore mid-century playwright Harauld Hughes in a discussion based on his memoir. Additionally, former FBI director James Comey will present his new legal thriller 'Westport,' while musician Neneh Cherry will discuss her memoir 'A Thousand Threads.' Bestselling author of 'Normal People,' Sally Rooney, will also be in attendance.
Furthermore, the literary lineup features writers such as Hari Kunzru unveiling his novel 'Blue Ruin,' Matt Haig, David McWilliams, and Elizabeth Strout. The event will also host prominent media personalities like broadcaster Carol Vorderman and MP Jess Phillips.
The ESEA Lit Fest will run concurrently, celebrating East and South East Asian literature. The literary season will commence with a creative workshop on April 28 and will continue through October 6.
