Gigi Hadid says she’d love to star in a movie ‘one day’ as she tells of acting dreams

Gigi Hadid has aspirations to take on Hollywood — suggesting she would love to star in a film “one day”.

The supermodel, 28, told Net-a-Porter’s digital title, Porter, that she is tempted to move into acting.

Hadid said she has taken acting classes “for a few years” to prepare for her dream — but is yet to be offered the right role for her to make the move into acting.

She said: “If and when the right script comes around, I’d still like to do a movie. I took acting classes for a few years in New York.

But a lot of scripts that I’ve got over the years are just the most obvious roles for me to play.”

Hadid has a daughter, Khai, with her ex-boyfriend and former One Direction star Zayn Malik. She is almost three.

In the latest cover story in Porter, Hadid said motherhood had made her pickier about the jobs within fashion that she takes on.

“When you are a parent, you have to be intentional because I have half the time,” she said.

“I work when my daughter is with her dad, and that’s the time I have. And the jobs that I choose to fill that time with have to be ones that are fulfilling to me.”

Hadid launched her knitwear brand Guest In Residence last year.

She said: “I have learnt a lot about being assertive, which doesn’t make you a bitch. As long as you do what comes naturally, which is not to be rude, you can say how you feel.”
