The New York Giants are riding a two-game winning streak as they enjoyed their bye this past weekend. The narrative remains the rise of undrafted rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito, the New Jersey native who has become the toast of the town.
With a 4-8 record this season, Giants apparel is not exactly a hot item. But don’t tell that to DeVito, who has seen his No. 15 jersey sell like hotcakes the past week.
“Since Sunday (Dec. 26) his jersey is the top-selling player on the Giants, and his sales spiked 1,200% on Sunday versus Saturday after the win,” an NFL spokesperson told the New York Post. “This is for sales across the Fanatics network of sites, including the Giants online store.”
DeVito is also enjoying the benefits of some other side hustles, such as T-shirt sales that lean on his Italian-American roots.
The website Hardcore Italians sells shirts and hoodies with ‘Tommy Cutlets’ on the front with the signature hand gesture DeVito uses after scoring or throwing a touchdown.

DeVito’s popularity will continue to rise with the Giants scheduled to play on Monday night in Week 14.
