New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game due to a lingering groin injury and a hip flexor injury that required an MRI earlier this week.
Nabers was not listed on the injury report to open the week but regressed to a limited participant on Thursday and a non-participant on Friday.
“He just got looked at by the doctors. He got an MRI. He’s in there with Ronnie (Barnes) right now and they’re not ruling him out right now,” head coach Brian Daboll told reporters on Friday.
“Yesterday it happened in practice. Again, every injury is a little bit different. Hopeful that he’ll be ready to play but can’t say he will be or not.”
ESPN Adam Schefter reports that Nabers will attempt to play on Sunday but it will ultimately be a game-time decision. Even if the rookie does suit up, his role will be extremely limited.
Giants WR Malik Nabers, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a hip flexor injury and a lingering groin issue, will try to play vs. the Saints but the team wants to see how he feels in pre-game warmups and, as one source said, it “would be more of a limited role.”

Nabers has been hindered by multiple injuries this season, missing two games earlier this year as the result of a concussion. He also recently admitted that he’s had persistent groin issues dating back to college.
In 10 games this year, Nabers leads the Giants with 75 receptions for 740 yards and three touchdowns.
