Giants have NFL’s third-hardest strength of schedule in 2023

The New York Giants finished with a 9-7-1 record and found their way to the divisional playoffs a season ago, but they will potentially face a tougher route to that destination in 2023.

The Giants accomplished that record after being handed the ‘easiest’ schedule in the league per the ‘strength of schedule‘ chart.

This coming season, the football gods have given the Giants the third-hardest schedule in the league, based off of last season’s win/loss records.

The Giants’ 2023 opponents had a combined record of 157-129-2 (.549) which is tied with Dallas and New England and behind Philadelphia and Miami.

Despite the Giants having the easiest road last year, they were rarely favored but did finish with the best record (14-5, including playoffs) against the point spread.

On the Giants’ schedule this year are eight games against 2022 playoff teams: Dallas and Philadelphia twice each, Miami, Buffalo, San Francisco, and Seattle.
