A family-friendly dinosaur show will be coming to Knowsley Safari later this month.
Visitors will be able to travel back in time to the prehistoric age as the Teach Rex event comes to the safari park, allowing guests to get close to giant moving model dinosaurs to discover how they would have looked.
For one week only from Monday August 22 to Friday August 26, the Teach Rex team will be performing three 30 minute shows a day, teaching children about the anatomy and life of the magnificent, prehistoric creatures. Visitors can learn more about the Tyrannosaurus rex in the company of four metre long T-rex, Jam and his dino pal, Sky.

Children will receive a 'Dino Booklet', which includes a variety of fun educational activities, along with a set of coloured crayons to complete it. During the shows, children and their families can get up close with the lifelike beasts, as well as looking out for adorable baby dinosaurs, who will be wandering around the rides area in between shows.
Admission to the event is included within the standard Knowsley Safari Park entry fee. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The experience is delivered by Wirral teachers, Sam Ryan and Joe Parsonage. Sam said: "We're really looking forward to taking our show to Knowsley Safari for the first time this summer holiday. We've never staged it here before, but the fit is perfect.
"Our extinct prehistoric animals will be positioned amongst those that the safari's conservation is working so hard to protect. We're already counting down the days until we can make visitors' days out even more enjoyable and memorable with our wonderful workshops. As well as the T-rex, we'll also be learning about velociraptors, which in recent years have become one of the most well-known species of dinosaur."
Rachel Scott, head of marketing at Knowsley Safari, added: "We're absolutely delighted to add yet another really popular attraction - and even more value for money - to what is already a brilliant family day out at Knowsley Safari, all for the same standard admission free.
"For one week only, we're going to be hosting a celebration of animals that spans millions of years. From when dinosaurs roamed the Earth before becoming extinct some 65 million years ago, right up to the present day, where here at Knowsley we're working tirelessly to ensure our magnificent animals are protected for the benefit of future generations."
