Prior to Lionel Messi’s leading Inter Miami CF to a Leagues Cup title over Nashville SC on Saturday, sports fans were treated to an NBA star performing one of the most iconic celebrations in all of sports.
Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is a minority owner of MLS club Nashville SC, showed off his soccer talents prior to the match.
The two-time NBA MVP, after blasting a kick into an empty net from about 35 yards at GEODIS Park in Nashville, sprinted to the center of the pitch and performed Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic “SIU” celebration.
Although Antetokounmpo will not be mistaken for Ronaldo anytime soon, he admirably nailed the celebration, jumping vertically while landing with his arms and hands spread open, screaming “Siuuu.”

Although the 2021 NBA champion was rooting against Messi’s club on Saturday night, he had no issue paying tribute to another of the sport’s greatest players.
