The latest installment in the Ghostbusters franchise is projected to compete with the opening weekend numbers of its predecessor, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which debuted domestically in 2021.
According to Boxoffice Pro's forecast, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is expected to make between $35 million and $49 million during its opening weekend, with a total box office potential ranging from $96 million to $144 million. To surpass Afterlife's $44 million opening, Frozen Empire will need to aim towards the higher end of these projections.
