Ghana star Mohammed Kudus provides Arsenal and Mikel Arteta with transfer message at World Cup

Arsenal transfer target Mohammed Kudus has further supported claims the claims that 12 clubs are hopeful of signing the Ajax star with another impressive World Cup moment. Kudus has started all of Ghana's World Cup group stage fixtures, with his nation currently facing Uruguay in a qualification-deciding fixture today (Friday).

Kudus scored two superb goals in the win over South Korea earlier in the group and understandably following his display, the talk of a possible transfer away from Ajax significantly increased, with Liverpool, who were interested in the summer, being joined by Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle United in possible transfer race.

In the opening minutes of Ghana's World Cup clash with Uruguay, Kudus cleverly scooped the ball over Sergio Rochet, winning the Black Stars a penalty that was ultimately missed by Andre Ayew.

There was plenty of drama in the build up to the fixture between the two nations following the controversial ending to their 2010 World Cup knockout match, where Luis Suarez prevented a certain goal deep into extra time by deliberately handling the ball on the line, with Asamoah Gyan then striking the bar from the resulting penalty.

Ghana will be certainly be hoping to avenge that World Cup moment with Kudus likely needing to play a crucial role in the match which will most-likely be another transfer audition.

The Gunners could face competition from 12 teams for Kudus if they decide to pursue a transfer, with their fierce north London rivals Spurs one of the teams interested, as reported by Bild last month.

But, a new report from 90 Min states that the Gunners and Newcastle went one step further by asking about his ‘current situation’ in the Netherlands.

Ajax could look to cash in on Kudus after his World Cup performances with another eight clubs, including PSG and Borussia Dortmund, interested in acquiring his services, with the report adding that Kudus could be available for around £30million in the winter window.
