NEW DELHI: Delhi government’s Chhawla-Kanganheri eco-tourism park in southwest Delhi, developed as a getaway destination set in a rural ambience, is now getting more visitors. The tourist resort on the complex was recently reopened with air-conditioned rooms, swimming pool, restaurants and the upcoming attractions include soft adventure sports and rides.
Located on 16 acres, the park was unveiled in 2015 and offers facilities like camping, boating and soft adventure sports. The Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation project never quite took off the way it was expected to. While the park remained closed during the third Covid-19 wave in the winter, DTTDC tried to make the project more attractive for visitors by reopening 20 AC and furnished cottages with modern amenities unlike the camping sites offered earlier.
