'Get up the tunnel!' - Kris Boyd blasts Rangers' post match salute to fans

Kris Boyd has blasted the modern trend of players clapping each corner of the stadium after a game.

Celtic were on the receiving end of some abuse from the Green Brigade section fans after they did it last week after a 0-0 draw against St Johnstone.

And as he surveyed Rangers players doing the same following a 1-0 home defeat to their bitter Glasgow rivals, Boyd was distinctly unimpressed.

Brendan Rodgers' side took the three points, going four clear in the Scottish Premiership, after a Kyogo goal on the stroke of half time proved the difference.

Boyd urged the players to quickly get themselves off the pitch in defeat, instead vowing to improve in training and learn from the setback.

He said: "I understand why the fans are frustrated. I don't get this - Celtic done it last week and got booed off as well - for me just get yourself up the tunnel.

"It doesn't change anything for me, you're angry and you've lost the game. We'll hear the usual excuses we always here when you lose a big game, 'we're sorry and we'll go again, we're learn from it'. Just get yourself up the tunnel."
