Travel at Christmas doesn’t have to be a stressful experience.

Coming to London in just over a month is Heathrow’s new Christmas Carriage. So, if you’re hopping aboard the Heathrow Express between December 5 and 7, you can enjoy festive fun to get you in the holiday spirit before your travels, or lift your spirits when you return from holiday.

So what can you expect?

What is the new Heathrow Express Christmas carriage?

Christmas elves will guide you along the platform to the carriage, where twinkling lights and the sound of sleigh bells ringing await as you step onboard the Heathrow Festive Express. You can also expect colourful baubles galore, packed with letters to Santa.

And that’s not all, the icing on top of the Christmas cake is that there will also be a golden ticket giveaway and a chance to win a shopping spree.

How long does the Heathrow Express take?

The Heathrow Express has an impressive journey time of 15 minutes and is the fastest direct rail route between central London and Heathrow Airport. Trains leaving terminal five station will take six minutes to travel to Heathrow Central before running directly into London Paddington.

Once at London Paddington, your onward journey into the rest of the capital couldn’t be easier.

Passengers travelling to either King’s Cross or St Pancras should hop on either the Hammersmith & City Line or the Circle Line for a direct service into King’s Cross St Pancras, while those heading to Victoria should use the direct Circle Line service.

Euston Station is easily accessed via the Hammersmith & City Line into Euston Square, followed by a short walk to London Euston. And it’s just £5.50 each way when you book online. That means you don’t need to break the bank visiting relatives this Christmas.

It offers a stress-free experience, as well as spacious cabins, free Wi-Fi, and an onboard entertainment system. If you choose to travel on Business First Class, you can make the most of the extra legroom, as well as your own table. Plus, kids 15 years and under travel free, making a trip to the North Pole (or any other destination) even better value for money.
