Gervonta Davis has leaked a $10 million offer from promoter Eddie Hearn to host his clash with Ryan Garcia during a heated feud online.
Davis will return to action on January 7 when he takes on Hector Luis Garcia at the Capital One Arena, in what is viewed as a tune-up fight before taking on bitter rival Garcia later next year. The pair announced on their social media accounts that an agreement has been reached for the high-profile showdown, with both men set to stake their undefeated records.
In recent weeks, Davis has been outspoken on social media about promoter Hearn whose promotion Matchroom Boxing work with Garcia's broadcasters DAZN. And the American star has now leaked an official email online from Hearn, which read: "Dear Gervonta, further to our messages that you are no longer under a promotional contract we would like to make you the following offer for your next fight.
"The fight v Ryan Garcia in February/March 2023 on DAZN pay-per-view. Guaranteed purse of US $10million. Pay-per-view bonus to be agreed. Look forward to hearing from you. Like I said I am in Cleveland this week and would be happy to fly you out to discuss this face-to-face. Eddie."
Davis deleted the post in trademark fashion just hours after it was posted, but it appears that the relationship between himself and Hearn is strained. The Matchroom Boxing kingpin has openly spoken about his desire to work with the rising star given the expiration of Davis' deal with mentor Floyd Mayweather.

However it may be a much harder task to fulfil for Hearn now after he hit out at Davis branding him "annoying" during an interview while discussing his mega-fight with Garcia. "The one thing I don't understand about Gervonta Davis is he tweets things and then deletes it like ten minutes later," Hearn told reporters.
"It is really quite annoying. He done one about me earlier and I went back to read it and it had gone. Someone had screenshotted it luckily but it is very strange. He has said a dozen times that he is longer under contract with Mayweather promotions. But great work from Showtime and DAZN to get that fight with Garcia over the line, that is one of the biggest fights in boxing."
