Portugal
Portugal is a hugely popular holiday destination, with lots of families across Edinburgh booking a trip for the coming year.
However, the Portugal is now cracking down on the number of Airbnbs in major cities such as Lisbon in a bid to address the ongoing housing crisis across the country, reports The Echo.
Portuguese Prime Minister, Antonio Costa, announced a raft of measures that aim to calm down the country's housing market.
And it means that there will be no new licences of Airbnbs as well as other holiday lets. The only exception is for rural areas "without urban pressure". It means that there may be a reduction in accommodation choices for anyone heading to the country this year.
Spain
A number of popular holiday spots in Spain have announced plans to limit number of visiting tourists.
According to the Mirror, Barcelona's Mayor, Ada Colau, announced she aims to reduce the number of cruise ships visiting the city.
Mayor Colau has also pushed for plans to expand Barcelona's airport to be scrapped, as well as introducing a series of restrictions to prevent more tourists visiting. This includes restricting the number of hotel beds and new hotels across the city.
Germany
Travellers may see their trip to Germany disrupted due to industrial action within airports across the country.
Thousands of flights have been cancelled so far as workers walk out in a fight for better pay.
The industrial action has seen strikes take place at airports across the country, including Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg, with almost 300,000 passengers impacted. Airlines have had to cancel more than 2,300 flights, with easyJet, British Airways and TUI all impacted.
Christine Behle of the Verdi labour union told public broadcaster RBB-Inforadio that there is a risk of a "summer of chaos" at airports across German is a deal is not reached.
