Germany might have lost to England in the final of Euro 2022, but the runners-up have more representatives than their winners in the team of the tournament.
Chloe Kelly's extra-time goal in front of a record crowd at Wembley gave victory to Sarina Wiegman's Lionesses. It was the first time Germany have ever been beaten in the final of the competition, after eight previous victories.
England's Beth Mead was named player of the tournament after helping the hosts secure the title, also ending up as top scorer thanks to the assists tie-breaker. Young player of the tournament Lena Oberdorf was also included in the best XI, with the two finalists accounting for nine of the 11 spots.
The team, selected by UEFA's Technical Observer panel, named Mary Earps as the goalkeeper of the tournament. The England star played a big part in the final, keeping Germany at bay on many occasions as the Lionesses got the job done.
In defence, England captain Leah Williamson was joined by Germany pair Giulia Gwinn and Marina Hegering. The fourth spot went to France full-back Sakina Kharchaoui, her country's only representative in the XI.
The combined team is set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with Keira Walsh - player of the match in the final - joined by Oberdorf and Spain star Aitana Bonmati. Mead and Alexandra Popp both feature in the front three after scoring six goals apiece, with the final spot going to Popp's Germany teammate Klara Buhl.

Germany's players received a heroes' welcome upon returning home. Martina Voss-Tecklenburg's team had won every game en route to the final and conceded just one goal before their defeat at Wembley.
England, meanwhile, celebrated their victory with a party in Trafalgar Square after a big night of celebrations on Sunday. "(It was) crazy. Lots of music, lots of dancing. English people can drink," Wiegman told LionessesLive on Monday.
"A little bit too much alcohol, I think. But that's OK," the boss continued. We enjoyed it. When you have these accomplishments, it's really good to have a party."
England's success was an improvement on their previous best result, a runner-up finish against Germany in the final in 2009. On that occasion, it was a heavy defeat in the final against a free-scoring German side, but England got their revenge in 2022.
Wiegman's team scored 22 goals across the tournament, conceding just twice, with an 8-0 group stage victory over Norway a particular highlight. The goals were shared around the team, with the likes of Alessia Russo and Ella Toone both on target more than once for the hosts before Kelly's second goal of the tournament helped clinch a famous win in the final.
