Spice Girl singer Geri Horner has shared a touching tribute to her daughter as she celebrates her 17th birthday.
The former Wannabe singer who rose to fame in the 90s has heaped praise onto daughter Bluebell in an Instagram post featuring the rarely seen teenager. Mum Geri had Bluebell in 2006 with ex-partner Sacha Gervasi.
Geri, 50, shared a cute selfie with Bluebell as well as two snaps of her growing up alongside her famous music mum. Sharing the post with her 1.3 million followers, Geri wrote: "Happy Birthday Bluebell, 17 today! We are so proud of you. We love you Blue! Xx".
The cute selfie saw the pair beaming for the camera with 17-year-old Bluebell sharing her mum's blue eyes as she posed in a striped top. Mum Geri, who married husband Christian Horner in 2015, squeezed in next to her daughter in a grey knitted jumper as she smiled for the selfie.
Fans of the singer have rushed into the comments to share birthday wishes for Bluebell as she turned 17. One fan wrote: "Oh wow 17! Happy Birthday to Bluebell."
Another shared: "Happy Bday Blue!! Becoming more and more such a beautiful girl."
"Happy Birthday beautiful Blue," wrote a third.
Another added: "Oh my gosh, how is she even 17! Happy birthday Bluebell."
A fifth praised the similarities between the mum and daughter pair, as they commented: "Happy Birthday Bluebell xx Ps Geri she is your double."
It wasn't just fans as celebrity pals wished the teen a happy birthday including David Beckham, who is married to Geri's former bandmate Victoria. The footballer wrote: "Wow 17. Happy Birthday Bluebell x".
Chef Gordon Ramsay also sent a birthday message as he commented: "Happy birthday Bluebell."
Bandmate Emma Bunton wrote: "Happy birthday beautiful girl. Love you lots. Xxx."
Wildlife and survival expert Bear Grylls also sent his birthday wishes to Bluebell, as he praised the mum and daughter duo: "Dream team!"
Spice Girl Geri and her bandmates Victoria, Mel C, Mel B and Emma were rumoured to be reforming just in time for Glastonbury Festival this summer, but festival organiser Emily Eavis shut down the idea the group might be making a comeback performance.
In March, Emily shot down any hope that the chart topping girl band would be performing at the 2023 event. When asked if there was any truth to the rumours of a Spice Girls reunion taking place at Worthy Farm, she bluntly told The Sun: "That is not a conversation we’re having."
Emily’s short dismissal will come as a disappointment for many fans who have been teased since last year about a possible Spice Girls reunion.
