With the January transfer window in full swing, it should be no surprise that teams across the Premier League are using this opportunity to bolster their squad.
Leeds United have already picked up Max Wober from Red Bull Salzburg but are now set to welcome another new addition to Jesse Marsch's line-up by bringing in Hoffenheim striker Georginio Rutter for a record transfer fee for the club.
The 20-year-old has netted 11 times and bagged himself eight assists across his last two seasons with the Bundesliga club but could be set for a move to the Premier League after spending time in Germany and his home nation France with Stade Rennes.

But Rutter actually has a connection to this Leeds United line-up that some might not be aware of. With his impressive performances for the German outfit, Rutter was given his call-up to the French Under-21s team.
Since making his debut in March 2022, he's managed one appearance in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship Qualifying while playing in three International Friendlies against European competition.
Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier was in the squad for two of his four appearances so far representing his country, in a 2-0 win over the Faroe Islands and a 1-0 win over Germany's Under-21s.
Having already shared the pitch together on the international stage, Meslier might've contacted Rutter to help bring him over to Elland Road or could be utilised by Jesse Marsch as a way of breaking Rutter in with his new teammates.
Either way, it's important for Rutter to have a familiar face to if he does move to Elland Road with it being his first steps in the Premier League.
