Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage is finally back on the 2026 TV schedule after a long break for the Winter Olympics and March Madness, and it's bringing back one of its best guest stars for the first time in a while. Annie Potts is finally back as Georgie's Meemaw Connie, and she has a scheme cooked up that seemingly references an iconic '90s trend.
It seems like even her arrest in Young Sheldon can't stop Connie from cooking up a sketchy moneymaking scheme, as she's at it once again in “A Stuffed Monkey and an Ex-Girlfriend.” After starting an underground gambling ring and becoming a sportsbook keeper, she's now in the business of selling what looks to be counterfeit Beanie Babies. I love how sketchy a seemingly innocent exchange looks in the above photo. The synopsis for the episode gives a bit more context, as it sounds like Connie is able to get Mandy in on the action:
When CeeCee loses her favorite toy, Mandy and Meemaw (Annie Potts) take it as an opportunity to make some money; Connor contemplates revisiting an old relationship.
I don't blame Mandy for getting in on the action, seeing as she needs a new job after leaving her weather girl job not long ago. Of course, I can't imagine Georgie is going to want his wife getting caught up in some illegal activities with Connie, seeing as he once found himself in a jail cell because of it.
Annie Potts is just the first of many returning guest-stars planned for the back half of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage Season 2. Lance Barber is set to return as George Sr. once again, and we've already seen Raegan Revord back as Missy and Zoe Perry as Mary Cooper. We're still waiting on news of when Sheldon may return, though it doesn't seem like Iain Armitage is in a hurry to appear.
As more drama mounts on Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, I do wonder if Sheldon's return will be the eventual powder keg that sets everything off. For example, if Sheldon came by right after his brother split with Mandy, he likely wouldn't have the level of care required to console his brother or be more concerned about others that aren't his own. Hopefully Meemaw will be there for damage control, as Connie does seem to be good at reeling her youngest grandson in when he oversteps. That said, we know Sheldon and Georgie are at odds for years as an adult, so who knows what will happen.
