Dwight Yorke is beginning to put the finishing touches to his first Macarthur FC squad, with the Bulls nearing a deal to bring Georgian international Bachana Arabuli to the club.

The forward, capped seven times by his country, most recently played with Greek Super League side Lamia and joins Socceroos midfielder Daniel Arzani in committing to the Bulls in Yorke's first year in management.

The 28-year-old is yet to arrive in Australia and is expected to sign a one-year deal with an option for an extension, AAP understands.

Arabuli, who scored eight goals across two seasons with Lamia, has also spent time playing in Hungary and his native Georgia - a country which is proving to be a happy hunting ground for Australian clubs.

On Tuesday, Newcastle announced the capture of 22-year-old midfielder Beka Dartsmelia.

The Jets enjoyed success with prolific Georgian forward Beka Mikeltadze last year and secured Dartsmelia's services on a multi-year deal.

"We're pleased to have signed a player of Beka's quality," Jets boss Arthur Papas said.

"He's a left-footed player who is a specialist on set-pieces as well as being very creative in the final third."

Elsewhere, Wellington have completed their overseas recruitment by adding former Polish youth international Oskar Zawada to their squad.

The 192cm forward began his career with German side Wolfsburg and also has experience in South Korea and the Netherlands.

"He's quite mobile, he makes forward runs, he gets in behind defences and he's aggressive with and without the ball as well," Phoenix boss Ufuk Talay said.

"The way that we play and press I think he'll be pretty influential."
