Georgia Tech’s leading receiver visiting Georgia

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets transfer wide receiver Eric Singleton is reportedly going to visit the Georgia Bulldogs. Singleton, who is Georgia Tech’s leading receiver, is an explosive pass catcher that would immediately contribute for Georgia.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound sophomore from Douglasville, Georgia, has two seasons of eligibility remaining. Singleton is one of the top receivers in the transfer portal. He recorded eight catches for 86 yards and one touchdown in Georgia Tech’s eight-overtime loss to Georgia, so the Bulldogs have seen what he is capable of firsthand.

Singleton has 56 receptions for 754 receiving yards (team-high) and three touchdowns. The sophomore is also a threat as a rusher. He has 21 carries for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Singleton is excellent after the catch.

Singleton also has visits set up with the Ole Miss Rebels and Auburn Tigers.

We don’t know what Georgia coach Kirby Smart said to Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key after the Bulldogs’ 44-42 victory. However, if Smart said that he’s going to take Key’s best receiver now that UGA beat Tech in eight overtimes, then that would’ve not been very nice of him. Todd Kirkland/Getty Images

Georgia is looking to address the wide receiver position in the portal this offseason because Dillon Bell, Dominic Lovett, Arian Smith and Colbie Young are potentially departing. UGA has already lost two wide receivers to the transfer portal: Michael Jackson and Nitro Tuggle.
