The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Nelson is rated as the No. 2 tight end and the No. 40 overall recruit in the 2024 class, per 247Sports.
The Bulldogs, who have the top class in the country, do hold commitments from four-star Jaden Reddell, the nation’s No. 4 tight end, and three-star Colton Heinrich, ranked No. 46 at the position, in the 2024 class.
Georgia’s tight end room for the 2023 season is led by arguably the best player in college football in Brock Bowers, and is supported by former four-star recruit Oscar Delp (Sophomore), along with freshmen Lawson Luckie and Pearce Spurlin, two of the top tight ends in the 2023 class.
