It isn’t every day that NFL draft prospects reveal the actual team they want to play for, but one of the top ones in this year’s draft, Georgia tight end Brock Bowers, actually picked the Tennessee Titans as his choice.
Bowers was down in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII and was asked by NBC Sports’ Chris Simms and Mike Florio about where he wants to end up. Bowers answered the Titans.
“I’d be alright with going to the Tennessee Titans,” Bowers said. “I liked it down in the Georgia-Tennessee area. I thought it was cool, that would be a cool spot to be.”
Bowers is not just an elite tight end prospect, he’s one of the very draft prospects in the entire class and will almost certainly be there at No. 7 overall for Tennessee. Whichever team ends up with the Georgia product will be very happy.

While Bowers would be an excellent addition because of Tennessee’s need for pass-catchers for quarterback Will Levis, the Titans have bigger needs at wide receiver and left tackle, and the expectation is Tennessee will address one of those two positions with their first pick.
I certainly wouldn’t say it’s impossible because Bowers is that good, but it is unlikely.
Over three years with the Bulldogs, Bowers tallied 2,538 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns.
