According to Gabriel Sterling, the chief operating officer of the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, a significant portion of the approximately 400,000 outstanding ballots in the state are in-person votes from the metro Atlanta area. Additionally, there are two batches of absentee ballots that still need to be processed. One batch includes 10,400 ballots from Chatham County in the Savannah area.
It is important to note that key suburban counties in and around metro Atlanta, such as Cobb, Dekalb, Gwinnett, and Fulton counties, are crucial to monitor in the ongoing ballot counting process.
