Controversial Georgia prosecutor Fannie Willis is facing allegations of an improper relationship and misspending of public money in a highly complicated and bitter case. Willis, who is currently leading the election-related case against former President Trump, is now at the center of a conflict of interest investigation.
The allegations stem from her alleged relationship with a prosecutor she hired, Nathan Wade. Wade, who is currently in the midst of a divorce battle, has been accused of funding trips for himself and Willis using public money. Court documents from the divorce case reveal that Wade purchased flight tickets for the two of them to travel from Atlanta to Miami in October 2022, and later made purchases for Royal Caribbean cruises. A similar incident occurred in April 2023 when Wade bought tickets for a flight from Atlanta to San Francisco and later made purchases at a Doubletree Hotel in Napa Valley, California.
