ATLANTA — The mayor of the City of South Fulton was arrested and is facing charges related to a Saturday morning incident, city officials confirmed.
Few details were released on the incident that led to Khalid Kamau’s arrest, but jail records show he is facing charges of first-degree burglary and criminal trespass. City spokeswoman Jacqueline Howell confirmed that an investigation is ongoing and officials are “unable to provide further details at this time.”
Kamau was booked into the Fulton County Jail by the early afternoon.
