Georgia Harrison vows to 'focus on positivity' in powerful post after Stephen Bear conviction

Georgia Harrison said she wants to 'concentrate on positivity' following Stephen Bear's guilty verdict earlier this week.

Former Celebrity Big Brother winner Bear, 32, was convicted by a jury at Chelmsford Crown Court of voyeurism and two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs or films on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim, Georgia, waived her right to anonymity in order to help other victims of these offences. She was unaware that Bear had recorded them both having sex, using a CCTV camera which had been set up in his garden.

He was released on Bail and will be sentenced at the same court on January 31, 2023.

And now, Georgia has taken to her Instagram page to thank fans for their support in a powerful post.

She shared a picture of herself posing, alongside a video of the police releasing a final statement following the verdict as well as a tweet that quoted her final comment.

"Thank you for all of your support," she said underneath the pictures.

"I truly want to let go of any negativity and concentrate souly on positive changes to our society to help protect everyone but most importantly the younger generation. [sic]

"[Hamsa emoji] to all of those who have fallen victim to similar crimes I hear you and I stand with you."

She added: "We cannot control all of the things that happen in our lives but we can choose to not let them define us."

Bear was first investigated by Essex Police in December 2020 after an intimate video was shared online to multiple social media platforms.

The video he recorded appeared on a number of sites, including OnlyFans, prompting Georgia to contact Essex Police.

An investigation carried out by Essex Police Domestic Abuse Investigation Team began.

Bear was arrested in January 2021 on his birthday at Heathrow Airport following a trip to Dubai, and charged in May. He was found guilty this week.

Georgia broke her silence following the trial and told the press: "The only way to describe how I am feeling now is relieved.

"The last two years have been absolute hell and this verdict will allow me to start to put the pain I have suffered in the past and start embracing the future.

"Bear’s behaviour was completely unacceptable and those who choose to commit such crimes should and will be prosecuted."
