Georgia Harrison has discussed the devastating impact her legal battle with ex Stephen Bear has had on her family.
Bear, 32, was found guilty of two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star had shared CCTV footage of him and Harrison having sex on Whatsapp and online in 2020.
Harrison, a former Love Island star, admitted she was “crippled by shame” as she recalled telling her family that there were intimate clips of her circulating online.
In her first interview following the verdict, the 28-year-old told The Sun: “I was crippled by shame and embarrassment when the video was leaked.
“I was used in such a terrible way. It decimated my self-worth and my ability to trust. When I first realised the video was out there for everyone to see, my first thought was, ‘How am I going to tell my dad?’.”
Ms Harrison added that someone even sent the explicit content unknowingly to her uncle.
She shared: “Imagine how embarrassing it is for my dad knowing that all of his friends are aware that there is this really explicit video of his daughter out there. A boy even accidentally sent it to my uncle without realising we were related.”
The former TOWIE star also revealed that her younger brothers and sisters were in school at the time and had to deal with name-calling over the incident.
“People were trying to forward it on social media to them. It has really affected their lives as well — it wasn’t just mine that was ruined.”
Her candid comments come after Bear was found guilty of two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress at Chelmsford Crown Court.
The former Celebrity Big Brother winner and Harrison, 27, were recorded having consensual sex on CCTV cameras in Bear’s garden in Loughton, Essex in August 2 2020.
Harrison said she did not know that they were being filmed and told Bear not to share footage when he showed it to her, but she said that he went on to share it on WhatsApp and online.
Bear had denied all charges, but on Tuesday, a jury found him guilty by unanimous verdicts. He was found guilty by a majority verdict of 10 jurors to two of voyeurism.
The judge bailed Bear until January 31 to return to the same court for sentencing, after a report has been prepared about him.
During the trial, his Twitter account advertised a “50 per cent off” deal for his adult entertainment website alongside a photo of him arriving at court.
