Georgia falls in US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 5

The Georgia Bulldogs fell four spots in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Georgia lost in a wild 41-34 game to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Georgia, who was previously No. 1, is now ranked No. 5.

Alabama rose a couple of slots to the No. 2 position behind the No. 1 Texas Longhorns. Texas has 29 first place votes in the coaches poll, which is ahead of Alabama, who has 19 first places. The No. 3 team in the country is the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Buckeyes have seven first place votes.

The country’s No. 4 team is the Tennessee Volunteers. Georgia is scheduled to play at home against Tennessee later in the season. The Bulldogs also have a November game against the No. 11 Ole Miss Rebels, who dropped six spots in the coaches poll following their home loss to Kentucky.

Next for Georgia football is a game against the Auburn Tigers on Saturday. The Bulldogs are the country’s top-ranked one-loss team by a significant margin.
