Georgia deputies are asking the rightful owner of a massive stash of drugs to come forward after discovering the hoard while cleaning up after Hurricane Helene.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office shared photos of piles of drugs to Facebook Monday, which they said were discovered while deputies were helping clear off Highway 231 by Washington State Prison.

For Immediate Release: Lost and Found Property Date: October 7, 2024While in Davisboro last week during storm response, deputies located these items in a clearing off Highway 231 near Washington...

Some of the bags of drugs were vacuum sealed, while others were packaged in imitation candy bags, mimicking "Life Savers" or "Gummi O's."

Pills, vapes and lighters also appeared to be included the haul captured by the deputies.

"If you would like to claim ownership of these packages, please come see us," Sheriff Joel Cochran wrote in the post.

The post quickly racked up dozens of reactions, with many users laughing at the sheriff's caption. "Man I wondered where I left that," one user joked. Another wrote, "That stuff belongs to Helene!"
