Blue Jays outfielder George Springer was not pleased with the pitch that resulted in a strikeout during the seventh inning of Thursday’s game vs. the Guardians, and he made sure to let home plate umpire Jeremie Rehak know.
Springer walked away, voicing his frustration after the pitch was on the low end of the strike zone. Rehak quickly ejected Springer after the Toronto player continued to complain about the call.
Then, Blue Jays manager John Schneider ran onto the field to let Rehak hear his thoughts, too. Shortly after Schneider began expressing his opinion on the call, Rehak ejected him as well.
The Cleveland crowd at Progressive Field rejoiced when both members of the Blue Jays were tossed.

After the game, Schneider admitted he agrees he should’ve been ejected from the game. As for Springer, the manager didn’t agree with Rehak’s call to boot him out of the game.
“What [Springer] said I don’t think warranted an ejection,” Schneider said, via MLB’s Keegan Matheson. “What I said did.”
The Guardians ended up winning the game 4–3 to finish the series 2–2.
