It’s safe to say George Kittle is well-versed in the sneaker game. The San Francisco 49ers tight end always seems to be wearing a different pair of custom Jordan or Nike cleats each week on the field. However, his love to sneakers extends beyond the field. If you watched Netflix’s “Receiver,” it was clear to see Kittle’s passion for sneakers. Kittle recently didn’t waste any time talking about sneakers at a recent press conference.
On Wednesday during his post-practice media session, Kittle opened things up with a message — or more a roast to the Bay Area reporters in attendance. Kittle called out the members of the media for their sneakers of choice, referring to their sneaker game as “atrocious.”
Kittle went on to say he observes the reporters’ shoes during the special team’s period of practice. Kittle said he’s disappointed in their shoe game and hoped they would up things going forward.

When the 49ers suit up for their opening game of the 2024 season on Sep. 9 against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football, all eyes will be on Kittle choice of cleats.
