George Clarke has been a familiar face on daytime TV for years, especially after his hit programme Amazing Spaces on Channel 4.
He is back with the broadcaster for Old House New Home and Remarkable Renovations, once again putting his keen interior decorating skills to work.
Despite being such a consistent star on television, he has kept a lot of his home life away from the cameras.
Fans have been curious about 48-year-old George's love life in recent months, but he has offered a few rare glimpses behind the curtain.
It is known that he enjoys a wholesome life in the Cotswolds with his family, sometimes sharing insights on his Instagram account .
Is George Clarke married?
George has been married twice, with his first partner being Catriona Drummond who he tied the knot with in 2009.
They had met in the early 2000s, with Catriona being an Australian animator and art director.
Life seemed bliss for George then, as in one interview when asked what his favourite thing to do was, he replied: “Going home to see my wife.”
However, it wasn’t meant to be, as in 2013 the pair announced their split and subsequent divorce in 2014, citing George’s “hectic” work life getting in the way.
It wasn’t until 2018 when George wed his second wife, Katie Morgan-Jones.
She is an American marketing and communications consultant, with the pair sharing a romantic ceremony in Ibiza.
Yet, in February 2022, Katie cryptically posted on social media that “it’s time for change”.
It is believed that the pair have split, though neither have come forward and provided an official statement on the situation.
It appears the couple have put their country bungalow up for sale, raising more concerns about their future together.
Does George Clarke have children?
George has three children who he shares with his first wife, Catriona.
They have Georgie, 19, Emilio, 17, and Iona, 15, though it is unclear which parent they are staying with now.
The presenter has kept his children largely away from social media.
George Clarke 's muscular dystrophy
During a 2021 episode of Amazing Spaces, George opened up about muscular dystrophy, a condition he discovered he was dealing with shortly before the show aired.
He said: “It turns out, I have a very rare form of muscular dystrophy, which is a muscle-wasting disease.”
According to the NHS, muscular dystrophies are a group of inherited genetic conditions that gradually cause the muscles to weaken, leading to an increasing level of disability.
It is a progressive condition, meaning over time it will get worse.
Sadly, it is also incurable, so it is something George will be suffering with the for the rest of his life.
It is caused by changes in the genes responsible for the structure and functioning of one’s muscles.
