Here’s the banner schedule for Genshin Impact version 7.1, which adds two new Snezhnayan characters: Vesna and Vodyanitsa.
Genshin Impact version 7.1 banners
Version 7.1 introduces Vesna and Vodyanitsa as playable characters. Both of them have Stellar-Swirl-related effects, setting the tone for end-game content during the patch.
Phase 1
Vesna, the leader of the Druzhna, is a 5-star Anemo character. She fills the role of DPS in the party, dealing damage using her Spirit Blades and Stellar-Swirl reactions. Outside of combat, Vesna can use her Vila lineage to take flight and make exploration a breeze.
Vodyanitsa, the Prima Donna of Snezhnograd’s Korolevskiy Troupe, is a 5-star Hydro Catalyst character who can heal her teammates, buff Stellar Swirl DMG, and reduce enemies’ Hydro and Cryo RES. As a Water Imp, she makes exploration on the water way easier and quicker.
Vesna’s Beyond the Chrysalis and Vodyanitsa’s Hymn of the Maelstrom will be featured in the weapon banner alongside them.
Currently, the featured 4-stars for these banners are unconfirmed.
Phase 1 will run from when version 7.1 goes live on Sept. 23 until Oct. 14, 2026.
Phase 2
For the second half of the patch, there will be reruns for Skirk (5-star Cryo Sword) and Escoffier (5-star Cryo Polearm).
Their respective Signature weapons (Azurelight and Symphonist Of Scents) will be featured alongside them.
The 4-stars for this phase are also unconfirmed.
Future banners
One character who is due a rerun is Zibai. The adeptus was released on version Luna IV, and her banner ran in February of 2026. Since then, she hasn’t been featured again.
She was expected to return for version 7.1, especially since the tradition of Genshin Impact was to bring the focus to Liyue for its anniversary. That is also the case this year, with the game’s 6th anniversary being celebrated in-game with the Moonchase Festival.
Taking this even further, Zibai is a central character in this year’s Moonchase Festival quest.
Thus, Zibai is a likely character to return for a rerun in Genshin Impact version 7.2. As for new, Snezhnayan characters, unofficial information points to Mitya and Valeriy as the next ones to join the roster.
