A new update is coming out this June in Genshin Impact. Titled "An Everlasting Dream Intertwined," Version 4.7 introduces a new long-term Challenge Domain. This same update also launches a new tower-defense mini-game event.
Beginning July 1, players can look forward to the fresh monthly-reset challenge domain called "Imaginarium Theater." It's going to emerge in a hidden chamber that's within Mondstadt Library. Meanwhile, the Spiral Abyss shifts to a monthly update cycle on the 16th day of each month.
Going back to the Imaginarium Theater, there's going to be combat challenges which features multiple difficulty levels. Not everyone can join since it's limited to characters of designated elements. There's also a limit to the number of times that characters can fight. During the challenge, players get to receive different buffs and debuffs. They can also slowly assemble and adjust their team builds from the characters they own.
By the way, it's important to remember that more challenge domains also provide richer rewards. The current "Imaginarium Theater" rewards its champions with as much as Primogems (×620) per month along with a series of new photo poses for certain characters, new bonuses for first-time completion, and even "Fantastical Blessings" which apply in the open world for the six designated characters of the month. That's not all since the total amount of Primogem rewards from Floors 9 to 12 of the Spiral Abyss has been increased to 800.
More Mini-Games
There are also more mini-games and optimizations to be introduced to the game with Version 4.7. The new tower defense mini-game called "Mutual Security Enhancing Simulation' lets players deploy their own monster troops in offensive or defensive games.
Meanwhile, to enhance the daily gaming experience further, the Original Resin cap has increased from 160 to 200.
