HoYoverse is giving away two free 5-stars as part of the Genshin Impact 6th Anniversary rewards. All eligible Travelers will be able to pick one standard 5-star character and one event-limited 5-star from a select pool. The anniversary also brings more goodies to all players; check them out here.

Two free 5-stars for Genshin‘s 6th Anniversary
Yes, there are two free 5-stars to celebrate the occasion.
You can choose between the Standard Banner 5-stars as your first one, along with their corresponding Ascension Materials up until Lv. 60:
- Jean
- Diluc
- Qiqi
- Mona
- Tighnari
- Keqing
- Dehya
- Yumemizuki Mizuki
To claim them, log in anytime between after the Version 7.1 update on Sept. 23 and Nov. 3, 2026.
The eligibility changes for the second free character, the event-limited 5-stars. You can choose one of the following characters, along with the Ascension Materials needed to raise them to Lv. 60:
- Tartaglia
- Nilou
- Baizhu
- Chiori
- Clorinde
- Varesa
You can claim them by completing the Version 7.1 Archon Quest between Sept. 23 (when the update goes live) and Nov. 3, 2026. This means you have a little over a month to finish the two new chapters in this update. In the meantime, you should catch up on the Snezhnaya AQ, which you can skip to even if you haven’t completed the previous regions.
Out of the above characters, Constellations for Tartaglia, Nilou, Baizhu, Chiori, and Clorinde are all available in the To Temper Thyself and Journey Far recurring event.
According to the devs, this will be the new norm for anniversary rewards moving forward.

The Genshin Impact 6th Anniversary rewards are split into two: those that can be claimed outright via Mail, and those that can be claimed over cumulative log-ins.

- Gadget: Conductor of the “Ya-ho”
via Check-In Event

Most likely, players will have to log in a total of seven days to claim all of the rewards. The in-game Top-Up Bonus will also reset, meaning the first purchase for each Genesis Crystal bundle will be doubled again.
Genshin Impact version 7.1 brings the sixth anniversary content when it goes live on Sept. 23, 2026.
