The Genshin Impact 4.1 livestream is just around the corner, with info on the free-to-play game’s two new 5-star characters and, potentially, a bit more of the Fontaine region to explore. Developer HoYoverse announced the livestream date in a new tweet on Twitter, and thanks to the studio’s pattern of gradual reveals, we know exactly who’s showing up in the new version’s banners – or, more accurately, who’s taking the spotlight roles.
You can expect the usual buffet of events, some new Archon chapters, and, of course, more Genshin Impact promo codes for free Primogems, which we’ll be keeping up with as they go live.

Where to watch Genshin Impact 4.1 livestream
HoYoverse will broadcast the Genshin 4.1 livestream on its official Twitch channel, and the YouTube version will appear roughly 90 minutes later on HoYo’s YouTube channel. HoYoverse stopped archiving videos on its Twitch page, so if you miss the livestream, you’ll have to make do with the video-on-demand version on YouTube, which stays available permanently.
What to expect from the Genshin Impact 4.1 livestream
We know from HoYoverse’s previous teases that Genshin Impact 4.1’s new 5-star characters are Wriothesley and Neuvillette. Neuvillette has a Hydro vision and wields a catalyst, a combination we haven’t seen since Kokomi in 2021. Wriothesley also uses a catalyst, but his vision is Cryo, a combination we haven’t seen period. The setup is an exciting one, since catalyst users can apply their element just with normal attacks – no skills required.
Some rumors suggested that Wriothesley would come to the standard, permanent banner after version 4.1, though HoYoverse hasn’t announced anything about that.
Who else may appear on these banners remains a mystery, though the current leak consensus is that Hu Tao will run alongside Neuvillette, and Venti will appear once more, in tandem with Wriothesley.
Other rumors point to more of the Fontaine region opening up in the new version, potentially north of the current area – not east, as most people expected.
