Guns of Eschaton, developed by Eschatology Entertainment, which was initially founded by the late Viktor Antonov and colleagues, has finally been revealed. Antonov, who died in 2025 at the age of 53, was a genius art director who brought us some of the most recognizable landscapes in video game history, including Half-Life 2‘s City 17 and Dishonored‘s Dunwall.
Antonov founded the studio in 2022, and his “final game and final vision,” as the trailer calls it, was revealed today. It’s a western game carrying strong horror and southern gothic undertones, something Antonov is very familiar with. The very first cityscape we see immediately recalls Dunwall and City 17.
