General Hospital fans were left frustrated and confused this week as the long-running soap opera faced unexpected scheduling disruptions and significant cast changes. The show, which has been a staple of daytime television for decades, was preempted on 30 September 2025 due to ABC's live coverage of the MLB National League Wild Card Series. The disruption sparked questions from viewers across the United States, asking why General Hospital was not on today and when normal programming would resume.
