Love Island alum Gemma Owen has admitted that her relationship with Luca Bish won't progress any further just yet, days after the pair became an official couple following a very over the top 'proposal.'
The reality TV star, 19, had been surprised by Luca, 23 - who she met on the ITV2 show over the summer - with a lavish display of roses, balloons and candles as the fishmonger asked her to be his girlfriend.
Gemma revealed during an appearance at the People's Pet Awards in London yesterday that the pair have no plans to follow in the footsteps of co-stars Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page by taking things to the next step by moving in together.
Speaking on the red carpet of the event, she said: "I think at the moment we're pretty happy with how things are going. Obviously, we're making it work.
"But I think in the future it's definitely on the cards. We'll just see how it goes," she teased.
The couple were among the famous faces in attendance at the awards ceremony - held annually by the Mirror - yesterday, which celebrates inspirational pets as well as their owners.
Gemma told reporters she was very impressed by Luca's efforts when asking her to be his girlfriend, which she said had been a 'long time coming.'
"He proper pulled it out the bag, it was worth the wait."
And when quizzed on the red carpet about what he would do to top the gesture when he asks Gemma to marry him, Luca responded: "We'll worry about it when it gets there!"

Gemma, who is the daughter of former footballer Michael Owen, 42 - was asked about life since appearing on the latest series of Love Island.
She explained that things have been "really good," commenting: "It's actually gone front strength to strength - really, really good. Couldn't have wanted it to go any better!"
The pair reached the final of this year's Love Island, where they placed as runners-up, behind winning couple Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, 28, and Davide Sanclimenti, 27.
Since leaving the villa, Gemma has been named as an ambassador for fashion brand PrettyLittleThing and has teased a project with Paramount studios.
And it's been announced that Luca has signed with football club Hailsham Town. He's also set to launch a social media series, titled the Bish and Chips Show, later this month.
