Love Island fans believe they worked out the 'real' reason for Gemma Owen and Luca Bish's sudden split.
The pair met earlier this year on the ITV2 dating programme and dated for three months before going their separate ways.
Soon after Luca appeared at the TV Choice Awards and ITV Palooza without the dressage rider, she announced their split with a statement on Instagram.
Gemma, 19, revealed it 'wasn't an easy decision but ultimately this is what is best for us both right now' and Luca, 23, later shared his own statement.
With the sudden break-up, some fans are convinced they have worked out why their relationship ended so quickly.
Some eagle-eyed followers spotted Gemma's ex-boyfriend Neil Farrugia liking her pictures on Instagram recently.
"Gemma’s nearly 30-year-old ex-boyfriend, the one she was rumoured to be back together with, liking this post? Interesting timing," a fan wrote with a crying emoji.
Another added: "Not the 27-year-old @neilfarrugia1 now liking your pics again after saying he could win you back."
Despite fan theories, there is no evidence or confirmation from Gemma or Neil that he was a reason for the split.
Neil previously confessed to new! magazine that he wanted to go on Love Island to win her back.
"I believe Gemma and I had a lot of potential and I still think we could be a good match if reunited in the future. Who knows?" he said.
"I would definitely try my best to turn Gemma's head back in my direction if I joined the show as a bombshell. I think I could make that happen."

A source recently talked to OK! Magazine and claimed things had been 'rocky' between Luca and Gemma for weeks.
"It had been going on for weeks and they had brushed over things and then they went to Dubai and nothing really changed so things came to an end," they said.
A week after the breakup, Luca took to Instagram to share a little update with his followers.
The post included a selfie of Luca, who was seen wearing a black hoodie. He wrote in the caption alongside it: "Glad this week is over. Thank you for all the kind messages".
His friends, including Andrew Le Page and Dami Hope, shared their support in the comment section.
