Gemma Collins has clarified she will keep her clothing line business going, after documents revealed the company's future appears uncertain.
Gemma Collins Clothing Limited, founded in 2013, had amassed debts of £42,000, but a spokesman for the 41-year-old said the company is solvent and the TOWIE star will keep it going, adding it is a passion of hers.
Publicly available accounts for the year ending March 31 2021, show the Essex business had net liabilities of £42,100.
The documents continue: "Given the above, there is a material uncertainty which may cast significant doubt as to the company's ability to continue as a going concern and it may be unable to discharge its liabilities in the normal course of business.
"However, having regard to the current continued support of the creditors, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the accounts."
According to the company, in 2020 on average 5 people were employed by the company, and in 2021 that fell to 4.
Alan Collins, Gemma's dad, is listed as the director, while Gemma is a person with significant control, owning 75% of shares of more.
A representative for Gemma said: "The business was put on hold after the pandemic to allow Gemma’s dad to recover from Covid. Gemma has more work personally than ever and didn’t have the capacity to run the business on her own, especially in a difficult climate."
"Her business is solvent and has just relaunched. It is a real passion of hers. She will keep it going in spite of having more work with her other projects than ever before."
In March 2020, Gemma sobbed as she was forced to close her shop due to Coronavirus restrictions. She was filmed in tears during filming for her reality show Diva Forever. The shop later reopened.
Gemma is a mainstay on reality TV, appearing in shows such as Celebrity Big Brother, Dancing on Ice and The Only Way is Essex.
As well as this, she had clothing ranges with Simply Be and Evans.
Gemma has recently been chronicling her weight loss journey.
Yesterday, the businesswoman shared a snap of a small and very green salad with her 2.2million followers as she continues her weight-loss journey.
Glowing in a bright pink silk shirt with a Chanel bag on her lap, Gemma beamed as she enjoyed food out with friends.
Clearly on a strict diet, Gemma's lunch was a garden salad with a creamy dressing with a bottle of water.
"Smiling because this shade of pink is everyone's favourite at the minute," she captioned her photo.
The GC filmed herself performing a cartwheel on the beach in a black swimming costume.
After smashing the move, she threw two peace signs as she soaked up the sun in the throwback video from her Caribbean holiday.
