Gemma Collins confirmed her wedding is on hold as she and fiancé Rami Hawash are currently trying for a baby.
The 41-year-old reality TV star told The Sun she would 'rest' over the summer to 'make a baby' - which includes postponing her nuptials and taking a six-month break from showbiz.
The star, who has featured on the likes of TOWIE, Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing On Ice, has been open about her desire to have children in the past, previously stating on her podcast that she was considering IVF treatment.
Now, it looks like she's taking a drastic step to make sure her pregnancy happens.
"I can’t wait until the 1st of August because then I can totally relax," she said. "I’ve not got a day off until then."
"We are getting to that point where we need to concentrate on having a baby.
"I really want to just rest after August and spend time with Rami and make the baby. I’ve given myself a six month window."
And though the star has made it clear that her professional life will take a hit as she and Rami try to conceive, their marriage plans are also on pause as a result.
"I can’t get married this year because I’m too busy," she continued. "We will definitely 100 per cent will [get married]."
Gemma and Rami, who owns a car mechanical repairs company in Essex, have been together on and off for a decade.
The pair have even been engaged before, announcing their plan to get married on December 27 2013 - but this was broken off just weeks later.
The now couple grew close again in lockdown after Gemma split with James 'Arg' Argent, and shortly afterwards rekindled their romance.
In December 2021 Gemma and Rami announced they were once again engaged - eight years after the pair initially declared they were planning to tie the knot.
However, the marriage hasn't been easy to plan, as Rami is in the midst of finalising a divorce.
Gemma said: "They’ve not been together for two years.
"I know her, she’s got a partner, she’s as good as gold.
"There’s a child involved, he’s only three, obviously I love him to death.
"But until that paperwork’s signed I can’t come out."
Now, it seems fans will have to wait a bit longer before they hear wedding bells - but with a mini-GC hopefully on the way, at least there's some future exciting news to hope for.
