Gemma Collins has revealed she has no plans to marry her fiance Rami next year - because of the cost of living crisis.
The former TOWIE star is best known for living the dream as her diva alter-ego The GC with designer clobber and all of life’s luxuries.
But this year, Gemma, 41, is trying to keep a tighter hold on the pursestrings as food prices and energy bills go through the roof - and she’s even decided to put off her wedding.
When asked by The Mirror if she’s planning her big day for next year, Gemma exclusively tells us: “Nah, not at all.
“Because I just think it ain't the time to be spending like millions on a wedding you know?”
And Gemma even hinted she could elope with the love of her life, after they rekindled their relationship last year after first getting engaged in 2013.
“It's not the time, it will happen, to be honest my life is always like I'm on the stage anyway,” she said.
“So when I get married I'll probably just do it in peace and quiet.”
And it’s not just a big wedding that Gemma’s put on hold, she’s also cutting back on Christmas this year.
“It's the smallest things in life that mean the most,” she said.
“It is really tough out there for a lot of people this year and it's like just remembering that people don't always remember what you buy them but they'll remember a moment.
“So for all my friends and everything, I'm just feeling more sentimental gifts.”
Gemma is making special photo frames for her best friend with pictures from their holiday to Tenerife earlier this year.
And she’s asked everyone she knows not to get her anything.
“We're living in a world where it's quite scary times and I've asked everyone this year to not buy me a thing,” she said.
“I do not need anything, I do not want anything, my cup is full.
“I would rather, and this is what I've said to everyone - make a donation to an animal charity for me. Even if it's five pounds. I don't want anyone feeling pressured this year with all what's going on. So I'm just doing small things this year that mean more.”
Despite forgoing gifts, Gemma is planning a big family Christmas with all her family coming to her Essex home for a slap-up dinner.
"I'm looking forward to having all the family around, obviously with the Covid we've missed out on all of that," she said.
"I feel like everyone's coming together a lot more. You know like going back to the old school days, where my mum brings a gammon, someone else will bring the trifle, everyone's doing their bit this year a lot more because everyone needs to you know."
